My Queen size bed.

First of all I went to have a look in the Salvo's but they did not have any queen sized matteress or bases and matteress. I did'nt see any lounge suites I liked either or anything else for that matter. So Mum and I went to Fantastic Furniture and I decided on the Medina Queen sized bed. It was marked down from $299.00 to $199.00 So I saved myself $100.00 and I got the tranquility matteress which was orginally $1000 but was marked down to $499.00. A saving of over $500.00 So all up I have saved myself $600.00 and I could'nt be happier. It did hurt the pocket a bit but I decided that I deserve to treat myself to something nice and that is going to last for years. I am getting it delivered on Wednesday and I can't wait to try it out. All I really need now is a decent lounge suite and a dinning table and chairs, and the rest of my stuff in there and I am home and hosed.

Cleaning up the flat.

I have decided to go with blue for the bedroom. They are going to be different shades of blue and a bit of green as well. I decided this morning when Mum said that she typed something into google about decorating older sytle homes and she came across a website site to do with colours and they suggest blue for the bedroom as it is soothing and I have been thinking blue all along so I have made my descion. I am also going to hang a couple of dolphin pictures up to because I think that they would look really good and compliment the theme. I have decided that I am going to get a queen size bed for myself as I had always planned on getting one anyway, and it will save a lot of trouble later. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it but I do want something that is going to look nice. Mum and I did some measurements to see how many cm's her queen size bed is, and it is about 200 cm's in lenght and about 150 cm's in width. We also did some measurements in the bedrooms and there is enough room for a queen size bed so I will be on the look out for that. We went into Spotlight to get a few things for the flat and I got some bath towels in 3 colours. Black, cream and olive green. I already have some chocolate brown bath towels that mum has given me so that has saved me a few dollars, and I got a queen sized donner cover as well with 2 sets of matching pillows cases and then we went to the flat and cleaned it up a bit. I got started on the bathroom and the titles were really grotty but with a bit of blench and elbow grease they look so much cleaner than they did. I gave the mirror a bit of a clean and sweapt the floor. Mum got started on the kitchen and it looks a lot better. But the place really does need a good vaccumming and I will be doing that tomorrow, and moving some more of my things in there. I put the towels in the bathroom and it is really starting to come along very nicely. It is amazing how just a few things can really make all the difference and brighten up the place a bit. It is already starting to feel like home.

The flat hunting is over.

I have finally found a flat and it is in the area that I want for $200.00 p/w. The landlord seems very nice and I don't think they would ever sell that place because he and his wife live above me and they would propbably have to pay capital gains tax on it if they did. It is nothing flash and it is a bit old but it is not run down. Everything is in good condition and I have some really good ideas on how I can make it look nice and make it feel homely. I have decided on the colour theme for the bathroom and I have chosen chocolate brown, cream, and black with a little bit of olive green to add to the contrast. So thats done and dusted. As for the rest of the house I have a few ideas but nothing is definate as yet. I am thinking of maybe a dolphin theme for my bedroom as I know that would work. A friend of mine love dolphins and they look really good. I do want to get a double bed for myself though as I really do think that single beds look a bit tackey in my honest opinion. The landlord said that he had a spare double bed if I wanted it so I might just take him up on his offer. At least that will save me a bit of money anyway and later on I could upgrade to a queen size bed if I want to and I want something a little more grown up for my age. But before I start moving my stuff in I want to get in there and give it a good clean out. Sweeping, dusting, vacumming, and make the place sparkle. I will also have a look around in opshops for some curtains and I will be having a house warming party and invite my friends for either lunch or afternoon tea.

Colorado boots.

I have laybyed myself a pair of gorgeous leather Colorado boots for the winter time and were marked down from $200.00 to $140.00. After I had finished having coffee with my girlfriend I told her that I was thinking of shopping around for some boots for the winter, and told her what I saw. She came in with me and I tried on a pair of boots in the brown. I had also tried on some other shoes as well but I liked these ones the best, and they will look great with my skinny jeans.

Can't sleep.

It's after midnight and I can't sleep. Infact I have not been able to sleep for about the last 3 or 4 nights. I think it must be the heat that is keeping me awake even though summer has ended. I have alway's had trouble sleeping when it is hot. I think that a lot of people do. I am now sitting down with a hot chocolate and a couple of hot cross buns. I know that eating late at night or just before you go to bed is not good for you. But I am hoping that it might help. I had better get to bed soon though because I am meeting a friend for coffee in the morning at 9.30 and I have to get up early to catch the bus.

Very Disheartening.

Well I have finally heard back from the lady at the real estate office, and I have to say that I am very dissappointed to say the least. Needless to say that my application was of course knocked back, and now I have to start flat hunting all over again. This really does suck. I really liked that property and I had my heart set on it. The lady asked me if I wanted to put my application form in for another property. I told her that I will have a look on the real estate website but there is nothing that is as nice as that one was.

What I did today.

I went to the gym. I got there at about 10.40, and started my workout. It was not for an whole hour but at least I was doing something.

After that I went to Fullers bookshop, and had a look around in there for a while and I got myself 3 books.

2. Selling stuff on ebay a real job you can do in your pyjamas
3. Property is a girls best friend.

I only just got home and so I have'nt started reading them yet but I am sure that they will be very interesting reads.

I went and had coffee at Gloria Jeans. Than I decided to take a trip down memory lane. I caught a bus and decided to go and have a look at one of the places that I used to rent. I have also moved in there with the friend who I had a falling out. I really miss that place and we both really liked living there.

Next down to the beach where I had hot chips, and where I was sitting this lady saw me and she starting waving to me thinking that I was her friend as I had a red jacket on and her friend did too. It turns out that I was'nt her and her friend turned up a few minutes later. I than went for a walk along the beach, and after that I got an icecream. So that was my day, and now I am happy to be at home and relaxing with a nice hot cuppa tea, and later I will start reading one of my books.
