The flat.

I went and had a look at it this morning and I loved it. I arrived a few minutes early and had prepared my application form and other important information in advance ready to give to the real estate agent. The tennant was at home and she offered to show me through the property before the lady from the real estate agent arrived.

She told me that I was the first person to have a look at the property and when the lady from the real estate agent turn up I introdruced myself to her and when the tennant introducted herself, I just knew who she was. I reconised her face and relised that I used to go to school with her. She reconised me as well and we have not seen each other for years.
Ok so whats the catch? "I hear you ask". There is'nt one. Yep you heard right, there is no catch. Well ok so it's not a palace but it is a lot nicer than some of the other flats that I have looked at within that price range. Propbably about the only thing is the bedroom does not have a built-in. But I don't care. It would be nice, but it is not a necessecity and anyway there are a lot of free standing ones which you can buy very cheaply. However in the bathroom it has a built-in and it is nice and spacious, and the lounge room is too with the kitchen is off the lounge room and is great for 1 person. Outside is a lovely little court yard where you can entertain your friends in the summer time. What more could I want? The only thing is now I am still waiting to hear back from the real estate agent as to weather my application has been approved or not. I think that there is a good chance that I will get this flat. I have a really good feeling about this and I will keep you posted.

The flat hunting continues.

Tomorrow I am going to have a look at 2 prosective properties that I might be interested in and both of them sound promising so far. But I do prefer one more so than the other. The reason been it is in a much better location and there are regular buses about every 10 or 15 minutes and the bus stop is right outside your doorstep. I found this one on the real estate website when I got home and I told mum about it. It is also $5 cheaper than the other one ($210.00 p/w).

So I have told my mum about this and have been asking myself what the catch is, neither of us have any idea. But I guess I am going to find out tomorrow morning, and mum thinks that I should also have a look at the other one as well. Even if I do like this one, and the reason been is if I don't get this one I might miss out on the other.

Things to do.

For months now I have been thinking that I need to join a club or a group and make some new friends, or plan stuff to do with my girlfriends on the weekend. I get bored because I stay at home and I don't do anything. Mum has been saying this to me for years about joining some sort of club or group or arrange to meet up with one of my friends and she is right.

Ok so I do go to the gym and I have made some lovely friends there and have had coffee with them and been out to dinner with them and stuff like that. But we don't catch up regulary enough and even though we are always saying to each other 'We should all catch up soon. We all get caught up with our busy lives and before you know it months go by and we still have not done anything about it.

I know that I need to do something but what can I do? I mean there are so many clubs or groups out there depending on your interests. It is just a matter of finding something which you enjoy, and I am thinking that maybe I should join some sporting club or group or take up some other hobbie such as dancing or photography. When I was 15 I used to play Badmintion on a Saturday and that was fun. I also used to do Karate 2 nights a week and attend on a Sunday as well. There were also karate workshops that they would sometimes provide on a weekend and you could go along to one of these and improve your kata and your techniques as well, and they also had toraments. I got up to 3rd kyu brown belt in 2004. But thats as far as it went. For some reason or another I did'nt end up getting to black belt.

Living back at home.

A couple of months ago I moved out of the rental property where I was living because I did not like the area. The bus services were terrible and on the weekend they were once every hour on a Saturday and every 2 hours on a Sunday. I moved in with my girlfriend and it was it was very hard for her at the time because she had a young child who was less than a year old and there were'nt many wheelchair buses. She does'nt drive and neither do her parents.

Unfortunately I had a falling out with her with her when we both moved out of the flat we were in. To cut a long story short it was because we had a bit of a disagreement about a rental property which we both had a look at. I have not heard from her since and I miss her friendship.

I am currently living with my parents and have been looking around at a lot of rental properties within the price range that I am willing to pay and it is not easy when you are by yourself and are on a limited income. It is not easy getting something decsant for $200.00 per week. Even for $210.00 or $220.00 and most of the properties I have looked at within the price range that I have just mentioned are in need of renovating which I would not have the skills to know how to do and most landlords propbably would'nt allow it anyway. But I don't just want take the first place I see if it is a dump or not suitable in one form or another I want something that I am going to be happy with, somewhere that is close to the cbd and a good bus service, as I do not have a car. I want something that is going to benefit my long term happieness.
